Jointing Technologies are “over the moon” with their new ecommerce site from Nexus Internet Solutions Ltd

Just a few months ago Adam Lloyd Managing Director of Jointing Technologies, leaders in electrical jointing and under floor heating supplies, approached Nexus Internet Solutions the Brighton based web agency to revamp the existing Jointingtech.co.uk website and to deliver an ecommerce site for the client base.

The timescales were very tight, since Jointing Technologies were due to exhibit at the main trade event Interbuild 2006.  The site had to be up and ready for that event so that trade orders could be placed by visitors to the booth using a unique “Point of Sale” option that had been developed for Jointing Technologies. This left Nexus Internet Solutions Ltd. only six weeks to analyse and develop the initial site including a complete redesign of the front end, new content, the point of sale option and the ecommerce database solution.

The website hosts and sells thousands of specialist electrical products, fixings and joints to the trade and all of these needed to be re-indexed and categorised. The site uses Nexus' proven core ecommerce engine developed by the web database team over a period of years. The site has a complete content management interface allowing an authorised person to update XML product details, prices, images and special offers. The site was built with search engine positioning and search engine optimisation (SEO) in mind.

Nexus did a fantastic job pulling this all together so quickly, given the amount of work they never let the quality of the product suffer.  I found their approach very professional they kept us informed the whole way through the process.  The whole experience was really easy, their ISO systems really paid off.

The guys at Nexus are a friendly and approachable team and they made the process simple for us by talking in the business language we were used to.  They understood our needs perfectly and we are really over the moon with the result.

The admin module and content management system allows us to maintain products and prices and set up special offers and upload new pictures as required. We are really over the moon.
