Tempest Digital Graduations System

H Tempest Ltd one of the biggest players in the UK photography market, used the new Nexus Solutions Graduations studio software to take graduate photographs at De Montfort University. The laptop based software written as a .NET application will link to the very latest professional digital SLR cameras. The customer orders will be taken on the laptops at the same time as the photographs are taken. Shot selection will take place immediately real time on the laptop displays and the photographs of over 4000 students will be securely transferred to the Nexus Internet Solutions developed laboratory processing system at the H Tempest facilities in St Ives Cornwall. From this laboratory software suite also written as a.NET application the orders will be uploaded and sent to the state of the art digital printers.

Re-keying is minimized through the use of barcode scanning at key points and the photographs and orders are monitored throughout their time in the laboratory through the use of custom tracking points. The photographs and frame options are then collated at dispatch and linked with a Royal Mail postal files system to ensure delivery to the end users.
