The video conference booking system is an on line application that satisfies the needs of both the consumer and the business.

Setting up a video conference can be a time consuming exercise especially when there is more than two locations involved. Time was being taken up duplicating and sending much of the same information to all of the parties involved such as:

• Times to start in which time zone
• Equipment details
• Call charges
• ISDN speeds etc.

As a precursor to a fully featured online service Eyenetwork decided to build all of the required back office functionality into a browser based solution. The application consists of a database containing all previous clients and participating bureaux details, and a simple four step process which allows other members of staff, not familiar with all of the technology, to make a booking.

A single booking can now be set up, organised and faxes produced in a fraction of the time it used to take using a word processor.
